Today in the Catholic Church we celebrate something called the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrates the moment when Mary was taken body and soul into Heaven at the end of her earthly life. It’s a reminder that because of her deep “yes” to God, she shares fully in the victory of Jesus over death, and that’s what He wants for us too! On this holy day, we honor Mary as our mother and look to her as a sign of the hope we have in Christ.

Youth Pilgrimage to Saint Mary's Cathedral Basilica
Sunday, September 28, 2025 | 12:00 Meeting at HTP
A pilgrimage is a special kind of journey, it’s not just about going somewhere, but about growing closer to God along the way. People make pilgrimages to places that are meaningful for their faith, like churches, shrines, or spots where saints once walked. It’s a chance to step away from your usual routine, pray a little deeper, and open your heart to what God might be saying. Whether it’s across the world or right here in town, it’s the journey and the destination that matter.
