Volunteer with Metanoia Youth Ministry
At Metanoia Youth Ministry we develop our program with conversion in mind. We facilitate conversion through a process called Intentional Accompaniment. Metanoia is comes from the Greek word "metanoiein" which means to change ones mind or to repent. Another meaning of Metanoia is to describe a transformative change of heart, which is what Jesus demands of us. In the Gospel of St. Mark, after Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan, the first words that Jesus says is “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.” (Mark 1:15). Repent and Believe in the good news is what Jesus demands of the apostles when he called them, and it is still what he demands of us when we become his disciples. This is why Metanoia Youth Ministry exists. We exist to foster a Catholic community for teens in our parish, make and equip disciples who joyfully go and invite others to Jesus.
