St. Francis Xavier University Chaplaincy
Student Mass (5PM Sundays)
Theology on Tap is where we have talks on Philosophy/Theology/Religion/Ethics in the Golden X Inn. We had three of these sessions this year.
Emmaus Road Retreat Weekend, this was held November 18-20, 2022, it is a student led event where participants share their faith.
Taize Prayer is held the last Wednesday of the month and it is an Ecumenical gathering filled with song, scripture, and silent reflection. The scriptures are read in the many languages that we find in our student community, and they include Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Swahili.
Chaplain’s Prayer Breakfast, this annual event was held on November 26, 2022, and former X-Men Basketball player Alex Stephen shared how his faith motivates his life.
Men’s Journey, this is a weekend retreat for university aged men where we looked at some of the challenges facing this group of individuals.
RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which people can be brought into the church. There were two students in RCIA this year and they were both baptized at Easter.
