Identity isn’t something we do, it is something we receive, a truth spoken over us by God. Throughout the Created & Claimed Series, each student will write their own litany of identity, using a few of the truths they discussed each week to build out their own personal identity prayer.

Each week, we will provide a few examples of truths they could include. Students are then

challenged to pray their prayer each day over the coming week.

• Jesus, teach me that I am good. 

• Jesus, teach me that I am created with purpose.

• Jesus, teach me that I have value. 

• Jesus, teach me that I have something to offer.

• Jesus, teach me that my goodness can’t be taken away

• Jesus, teach me that I need you.

• Jesus, teach me to not fear trusting you.

• Jesus, teach me to trust that you want my good.

• Jesus, teach me that I need other people.

• Jesus, teach me that I can be vulnerable.

• Jesus, teach me that I don’t have to be strong enough by myself.

• Jesus, teach me that only you can love me perfectly.

• Jesus, teach me that I can’t earn your love.

• Jesus, teach me I am your child.
